Discovery High School students organized a walkout this week to call attention to the impact of gun violence on schools and communities. Led by Sophia Cook, Boris Garnett, and Lily Muhlenberg, the demonstration urged stronger safeguards such as mental health checks and stricter safe-storage laws. “As students, we’re the ones directly affected, and raising awareness is the least we can do,” Lily said.
