Yesterday, Camas High School proudly planted a rare Moon Tree grown from seeds flown over 280,000 miles through space and around the moon on NASA's Artemis I mission! 🌙
Camas High School is one of only a handful of schools nationwide selected to receive a Moon Tree as part of this historic initiative. The Camas Moon Tree will serve as a permanent fixture on campus and inspire young learners for years to come.
A huge thanks to NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Clark Public Utilities, and U.S. Forest Service for supporting this historic moment!

In April, talented students from Liberty and Skyridge proudly represented Camas at the Lower Columbia River Music Educators Association (LCRMEA) Honor Bands—featuring top band students from 21 area middle schools! 🎺🥁🎷
Congrats to these outstanding musicians, pictured left to right:

On April 26, the Camas Music Boosters hosted their annual gala at the Portland Yacht Club—a festive evening filled with music, generosity, and community spirit.
Guests enjoyed incredible student and staff performances, a silent auction, as well as a live auction emceed by former Camas School Board member and current City of Camas Administrator Doug Quinn. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the event raised approximately $34,000 in support of music programs across the Camas School District.
A huge thank you to the Music Boosters and everyone who helped make the night a resounding success! And, thank you to Skyridge music teacher Michael Sanchez for generously sharing his photos.

Huge congratulations to Odyssey Middle School 8th-graders Jonathan Lasley, Brahmpreet Singh, Cheryl Trent, and Katya Lomvardias for proudly representing Camas at the National History Day Washington State Contest! These students presented powerful, well-researched projects on WWII Pearl Harbor, Women’s Suffrage, and Pacific Northwest Greek Inclusion. 🎉 🏆
Camas School District students stood out among nearly 1,000 participants at the statewide contest hosted at Lake Washington High School. We are so proud of their hard work, passion, and commitment to bringing history to life!

Congratulations to Rush Reimer, Class of 2020 at Camas High School, for signing with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on Sunday! Rush was a first-team all-state selection when the Papermakers went 14-0 to win the program’s second Class 4A state championship. Way to represent Camas, Rush! 🏈

Last week was so fun celebrating National School Counseling Week! Thank you all for all you do!

On Friday, February 7, students from Odyssey Middle School, Skyridge Middle School, and Liberty Middle School competed at the regional Math is Cool competition against approximately 200 students. Camas students did so well at the competitions, they are literally weighed down with ribbons and team award plaques!
Big shoutout to the incredible students!
