Elementary Report Cards

Camas School District has used standards-based report cards in grades K–5 for a number of years. Beginning in the 2014–15 school year, the report cards were revised in the following ways:
The statements for English Language Arts and Math reflect the Washington Common Core Learning Standards
Progress for all grade levels, K–5, will be reported using scales rather than letter grades. Up until this year, scales were used in grades K–3, with letter grades in 4–5.
Statements in the section Characteristics of a Successful Learner are aligned with Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) expectations at each elementary school.
Report cards are issued three times per year—fall, winter, and spring.
Standards-based report cards provide clear information about each student’s progress toward meeting the learning standards. The report card also provides information about a student’s strengths and areas of challenge. This information will assist parents and teachers in a partnership to provide the support each student needs.
