Please continue to check our website frequently for additional programs to be posted. Children attending CCE/JWR programs must be fully toilet trained, able to self-feed, participate independently, and behave in a way that does not harm themselves or others. If a student is not capable of these guidelines, supportive accommodations from family or a representative are welcome. Safe behavior is expected.

After-school coaches/instructors do not have access to a child’s rescue meds at school and are not trained to administer them.

Refunds & Cancellations

  • There is a 10% processing fee (up to $20 max per purchase) for refunds or cancellations if the office is notified one week prior to the start of camp. After this time no refunds will be issued.

  • Our office will issue refunds only – no changes. If you need to make a change, a refund will be given (minus the processing fee) and you must purchase the new camp.

  • All League refunds including CYBL and CYVL are as follows: A refund (minus 10% processing fee) will be given if notified before registration closes. A refund of 50% will be given after registration closes up to one week before the season starts. No refunds given after this time.

Permission Statement

I understand the Camas Community Education program does not provide insurance. I certify that I/my child is physically and mentally able to participate in this activity. I will communicate potential medical/medication needs with staff. I, intending to be legally bound, waive and release my rights and claims for damages I may accrue against any and all sponsors of this activity. I will communicate my child’s potential medical/medication needs with staff and instructor. I understand my/my child’s image may be used for promotional purposes for CCE and/or Camas School District.

Camas Youth Basketball League (CYBL) - Recreational

Co-Ed grades: 1-2, Join this fun recreational league with co-ed teams. Teams will practice for 40 minutes, and then play a game for 40 minutes. We must have parent volunteer coaches to run this league. All requests must be made at time of registration. We will do our best to honor requests but it is not always possible.

* Registration deadline: October 16th OR UNTIL MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT IS MET. After that you will be placed on a waitlist.

Camas Youth Basketball League (CYBL) - Recreational

Grades: 3-8, Beginner to Intermediate (this is not competitive level play)

Join the fun with CYBL! The focus of this recreational league is on teamwork, skills and having fun. Volunteer coaches are required to run this league. You may be asked to coach or co-coach your child's team. Team and grade divisions will be determined after registration has closed. All requests must be made at time of registration. Requests are not always possible since there is a limited amount of children allowed on each team. Team placement priority goes to Camas students.

The first registration deadline is 09/16. Fee increases $40 after that date until registration closes on 10/16 at noon. Registration will close earlier if maximum enrollment is met.

* * If you have specific question for Rachel Best she will start answering those questions after September 15th. Her priority is Extended Day Care at this time.

** Coaches will be contacted and there will be a coaches meeting before the league starts. Please save all questions for that time.

  • Practices start the week of 11/10. Games are on Saturdays, 12/06-02/07

  • Grade: 3-4: $149, fee increases to $189 after 09/16 (one practice per week)

  • Grade: 5-8:  $169, fee increases to $209 after 09/16 (two practices per week)

Camas Competitive Basketball Tryouts

Tryouts for boys & girls grades: 4-8, This basketball opportunity is designed for the more serious player. There will be 1 competition team per grade level. Practice will begin mid October with two practices per week. League runs October - March.  There will be 7 tournaments and traveling is required.

Tryout dates: Friday-Sunday, 10/03-10/05, Time: Friday 5-7 p.m., Saturday 3-8 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Tryout fee: $20, Location: Liberty Middle School, If selected the league fee is $650.

Co-Ed Basketball Open Gym

Grades: 5-8, All skill levels welcome. We will run a court for beginner-intermediate skill levels, and a court for intermediate-advanced. Bring a water bottle & basketball to camp if you have one. 15 player minimum is needed for registration or open gym will be cancelled.

CWY Sideline Basketball Cheer

Grades: K-8, All levels are welcome. No tryouts. Come learn cheers, stunts and choreography foundation to cheer for basketball games! We will also have a CWY exhibition showcase and awards for family and friends. ** Uniform gear bought separately on the first day of practice. This is an additional cost of $150 max. Must be paid on the first day of practice 10/25.

Fitness Fun & Games

Gr: K-5, This camp is PE gone wild! Kids will work on agility, coordination and cooperation with fun, interactive games and then play board games to round-up the day.

Wednesday, 11/05-12/17, Time: 1:00-2:30 p.m., Fee: $95, Location: Zellerbach Admin Center (ZAC), Instructors: YMCA Staff. Busing is available to ZAC from all Camas elementary schools. You must arrange this with your school.

Introductory Kendo Beginner Class: Jr., Youth and Adult

Ages 10-Adult, Children ages 10 & younger MUST be pre-approved by instructors., Enjoy this martial arts opportunity with Camas Kendo Dojo! Learn the fun and challenging co-ed Japanese martial art of kendo (fencing). Kendo is typically practiced with a bamboo stick called a shinai, and promotes a strong mind, body, and spirit. Soccer Camp

Grades: K-5, Our program offers a non-competitive, fun, and engaging soccer experience. Our experienced coaches are educators and high-level soccer players with extensive childcare experience,ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. Wear comfortable soccer/running clothes. Wear soccer cleats if you have them but they are not required.

Little Spikers Volleyball Clinics

Co-Ed grades 2-5, This is a great introduction to volleyball. Focus is on learning skills and having fun! A strong foundational skill set is key to advancing in this sport. Let Stephanie pass on her expertise to your child. We use a lighter weight ball called Volley-lites.

Little Spikers Volleyball Day Camp

Grades: 2-6, The focus of this camp is learning skills, developing athleticism, and having fun! It will be a high energy environment where we place a heavy emphasis on sportsmanship and becoming a good teammate! We will break into groups based on age/skill for part of the camp.

Korean Martial Arts

Youth-Adults - Classes are full at this time, Learn the traditional Korean Martial Art of Soo Bahk Do taught by nationally certified Moo Duk Kwan instructors. A safe, no-contact environment to insure the best experience. Immediate family members receive a $30 discount. Soo Bahk Do Federation membership required for rank advancement. Uniforms available for purchase from instructors. Classes are full. You must be a current member to join at this time.

Ages: 12-18, Transform your body, strengthen your mind, and elevate your wrestling with our intensive training camp! Preparing wrestlers for middle school and high school seasons. Emphasis on fundamentals and repetition. USAW card is required.
