Students looking at displays

Sixth graders recently held their first project exhibition, inviting families and community members to explore a unique showcase centered around food and culture. Each student researched a food item that holds personal or cultural significance, displayed its key ingredients, and shared the history behind the meal.

Through this engaging project, students also learned new digital design skills using Canva and practiced speaking confidently with guests—valuable experiences that support our Profile of a Graduate attribute, Self-Empowered Learner.

The event was a huge success, with a great community turnout and plenty of learning moments. One fun fact students discovered: cheese was accidentally invented over 8,000 years ago when milk curdled during storage!
