Camas School District is reaffirming its commitment to ensuring every student feels safe, welcome, and included—especially as national immigration concerns create anxiety for some families.

“Our schools are safe spaces for learning and belonging,” said Superintendent John Anzalone. “We will always stand by our students and families, regardless of background or circumstance.”

The district will continue to:

  • Guarantee access to a free public education for all students.

  • Provide safe, supportive spaces for students to share concerns.

  • Address any incidents of discrimination or bias.

  • Connect families with resources and services through the Family-Community Resource Center.

Our district does not collect information about immigration status and will not allow immigration officials access to schools or records without a legally binding court order reviewed by the superintendent or legal counsel.

“Diversity makes our community stronger,” Anzalone said. “Every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported in Camas schools.”
