I hope you had a nice weekend after a very busy week. It was inspiring to see students in school last week and talk with staff. I’m in the habit of asking “How are you doing?” This year, behind our masks, that question seems almost a little silly. Where do you begin when answering that question? A “normal” school year is full of challenges and this year with all of the transitions and changes the challenges seem to have exponentially grown. As we finish up April and head into May, the moments with our students we have left in this school year are precious. Thank you for making the most of them.
The state released a budget yesterday and the legislative session is scheduled to adjourn sometime today. As more details are released we will analyze the impact for Camas. Our hope is to have the initial analysis ready for our budget committee meeting Thursday.
