Exciting things are happening for Camas athletics! At a district-wide coaches’ training on August 17, Athletic Director Stephen Baranowski kicked off the event by revisiting our core values: Honor, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, and Trust. He also shared we will be developing a coaches handbook this fall. It will set common structures for supporting our athletes and coaches in times of conflict, communicating with players and parents, upholding core program values, and more.
“We had a very productive meeting, and I’m thrilled we are laying the foundation for success together,” commented Baranowski. “At last night’s fall sports meeting with families and athletes, we talked about how coaches will train athletes to be upstanders and interrupters related to discrimination in all forms,” he added.
