Congressional Art Competition

Posted: February 28, 2020

High School Students: Here’s your chance to enter the Congressional Art Competition for Southwest Washington High Schoolers, sponsored by Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler. The subject matter and medium are up to you, so long as the piece meets the contest guidelines.

Why enter? Winners, while also gaining eligibility for certain scholarships, will be recognized both here in Washington and at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, DC. The winning works will also be displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol!
Here’s How It Works:
  1. Artists review the rules and regulations.
  2. Artists submit their work digitally, along with the release form, to jhb.cac@gmail.com by April 24, 2020.
  3. A panel of local artists reviews all submissions and selects the winner.
A note about who can participate: In Washington’s 3rd Congressional District, only high school students in grades 9-12 are eligible to participate in this year’s competition.
