Twenty Camas students from Prune Hill Elementary School, Liberty Middle School, and Skyridge Middle School participated in the Washington Music Educators’ Association 2020 Junior All-State Youth Choir in Yakima, WA on February 16.

The choir consisted of approximately 150 students from around the state. Students had to work hard to audition in October and then memorize seven pieces of music in January before attending the all-day event. The day in Yakima consisted of around six hours of rehearsals before performing in front of several thousand people at the historic Capital Theater. It’s a huge honor to be selected and it’s an experience the students will never forget.
