Dear Camas Community,
As the Governor reminded us again tonight, we are at a critical point in dealing with the spread of this virus. It is important to follow the guidelines shared to help in this effort. (https://medium.com/wagovernor/inslee-announces-stay-home-stay-healthy-order-4891a7511
Governor Inslee has made it clear to schools that food services fall under the “essential services” category, and we will still serve meals to children. We continue to receive some questions about the food services we are providing. Most of these questions are about who is eligible and who is not. During these extraordinary times, please continue to follow the guidance that if you need meals, please take them. If you don’t need the service, then please don’t. I know there can be a lot of questions that come up. Our goal is to provide the support that is needed in our community the best we can.
We had a successful first day of remote training today with staff. Staff will be spending this week getting ready for learning after spring break. Our intent is for staff to connect with students learning resources and activities after spring break.
Thank you,
Jeff Snell, Superintendent
Camas School District
