Dear Camas Community,

Happy last day of school! We want to share just two quick items with you as you head into summer:

  1. We will host a second Town Hall meeting next week on June 24 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM where we will share the feedback received from our Reopening Our Schools survey and share with you our summer communication plan and timeline. This is the link to join the Zoom webinar: If you cannot attend, you will be able to view a recording of it on our website the next day.

To date, we have received feedback from nearly 3,000 staff members, students, and families. If you have not had the chance to respond, there is still time. The survey will remain open through Sunday night:

  2. Summer Meals: We will resume a scaled-down meal service beginning Monday, July 6. Grab-and-go breakfast and lunch will be available Monday-Friday from 9-11 AM for curbside pickup at Liberty MS, Prune Hill, Dorothy Fox, Grass Valley, and Woodburn. We will not be able to provide delivered meals over the summer, so please plan to pick up meals curbside.

It goes without saying that this has been a unique year. Our students, staff members, and families have navigated uncharted waters during the pandemic. We closed our schools and created an entirely different learning environment. The pandemic exposed challenges and inequities and presents an uncertain future.  It was hard work, and we worked through it together, as a community. I thank each and every one of you for that.

We hope everyone in our community will have a restful, happy, and healthy summer.
