Today, the Washington State Department of Health released new requirements for K-12 schools in the 2021-22 school year. We are carefully reviewing the requirements and will collaborate with health officials about implementation. Details about health and safety such as physical distancing, sanitizing, etc. will be shared with families by mid-August.
We understand that families need to know what to expect in the coming school year. Camas schools will operate full-time, five days per week this fall. Due to the Washington State Department of Health’s new requirements for schools released today, all students and staff will be required to wear masks at school regardless of vaccination status. Please note: This is a legal requirement from the State that public schools must follow. Local school districts do not have the ability to implement less restrictive requirements. These requirements are consistent with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Academy of Pediatrics. The State will revisit these requirements if circumstances change.
If your family is interested in fully remote learning, please complete the Camas Connect Academy interest form.
We look forward to serving our students this fall. Be sure to visit this link to review our back-to-school events.
