About Us

The Camas School District maintains a central warehouse for receiving, stocking and distributing food and material used by the district.

The warehouse receives and handles school supplies of all types, then marks and ships them to the appropriate school or office. Deliveries occur once a day to each location and include supplies for the offices, classrooms, custodial, maintenance and technology departments. Inter district mail delivery and pickup is also a daily task at each of our schools.

The Warehouse staff are responsible for the daily delivery of hot food from our satellite kitchen to our schools. They supports our food service department by distributing commodities and frozen food from our central freezer and to district kitchens.

Staff members help with special deliveries for school activities by transporting chairs, tables, portable staging, sound equipment, athletic equipment and any other required material.

The warehouse staff handles all related tasks with recycling, surplus, inventory, document shredding, and disposal needs. The materials on hand in the Warehouse will be carried as an asset on the district records being charged to the appropriate budget expenditure account upon removal from inventory. All surplus items are stored in each school until July, when we have our annual surplus inventory sale at the warehouse or designated surplus sale site.

Our goal is to improve our work efficiency and continue to keep performance at a high standard while keeping an open mind in a changing work environment.

Moving Request Form

When requesting the Warehouse to move any materials to or from your school, you must complete a help ticket. Requests must be authorized by administrator/designee of each facility affected before action will be taken to prevent double scheduling of shared equipment or supplies.
