CSD Areas of Focus
Here in Camas, we are deeply engaged in work around equity, race, and identity to better foster and support an environment in which our students, families, and staff grow and thrive.
We extend an ever-evolving umbrella of support for students, families, and staff to help students develop experiences, expression, relationships, and emotional-management skills that will lead to healthful daily living.
Our current strategic planning process is paused in order for our new superintendent to have a hand in shaping its final form.
We love numbers! Our finance team developed an interactive, real-time budget website to support transparency and empower our community to dig into the data.
Camas School District’s One:World initiative (pronounced “one to world”) is connecting each student to the world around them through technology.
Thanks to the generous support of Camas voters, a $119.7 million bond issue was approved in February 2016 and is now near completion.

Our School Board
Headshots of all five board members

The Camas Board of Education consists of five citizens of the school district elected from director districts for a four-year term. The board provides direction for the district, approving policies, making financial decisions, determining building needs, and approving the budget. The progress of the district is reviewed regularly by the board. The board relies on the superintendent for advice, but final decisions are the responsibility of the school board. The most important strength for the district are the quality teachers, staff and parents in the community. Effective Communication skills a must. The new superintendent would need to have a vision and leadership that matches the community’s and communication skills to convey them effectively.
