Welcome to room 19’s home page!

Here you will find important information about your child’s first grade experience. Our classroom is a place of wonder and adventure… where I believe, like Yeats, that learning is the not the filling of a bucket but the lighting of a fire.

My name is Wendy Wick Gummer. I am thrilled to have a career that I love. I  have taught kindergarten, first and second grades for sixteen exciting years. I am happy to have made my teaching home in the Camas School District for the last seven. Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my own young children, exploring the natural world, cooking, seeing art films and thrift store shopping.
