DOROTHY FOX MUSIC SITE
Home

Welcome to the Dorothy Fox Music Class website.

Students at Dorothy Fox have music twice a week for 30 minute sessions.

Our music room is equipped with a Yamaha keyboard lab, classroom set of guitars, African drums, Orff instruments and a wide variety of percussion instruments.

A choir experience is offered to students from grades 2 – 5 throughout the school year, and 5th grades have the opportunity to join beginning band classes before school.

All students participate in a musical performance during the school year.

Mrs. Dayton bio:

I have taught music for 29 years, most recently in the Camas School District for 16 years.

CURRENT STUDIES
The third grade music program was held on May 17th at 2:15 in the gym. All third grade classes studied the continents and music from countries around the world.

Each first grade class will be presenting a musical program on the topic of plants during the month of May.  This supports their unit of study in the classroom on the plant life cycle.  Watch for information about the date and time for each class room.

Fifth graders will be presenting their musical on June 11th. This year we are working on a production of Lewis And Clark.

The second/third grade choir has begun their after school rehearsals. They are working on the music called How Does My Garden Grow.  The performance date is May 19th.
