School has begun, and with the beginning of a new school year comes a new year of middle school mock trial! Last year, Camas Community Ed started the first ever middle school mock trial program in Clark County, WA. Our team competed at the middle school mock trial competition at the Clark County Courthouse, and went on to Olympia, Washington, to for a showcase round at the Washington High School State Mock Trial Tournament.
The Camas Middle School Mock Trial Team is now back for its second year, looking for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who want to have fun and are willing to work hard as a team. Ever thought you might want to become an attorney? Maybe you like to argue? If you enjoy critical thinking, role-playing, writing, performing, teamwork, and fun, mock trial may be right for you.
Please join us for an informational meeting on Thursday, October 5, at 6:00 PM at Zellerbach Administration Center (ZAC) in the Main Board Room, 841 NE 22nd Ave, Camas.
Students, bring your questions and your parents! We will explain the details of the program, answer any questions, and have registration materials available for those who are interested. Hope to see you there!
There is a fee associated with this program. The cost is still being discussed. Limited scholarships may be available.
