Eighty-four DECA/Marketing students from Camas High School made amazing accomplishments this past week at the State Career Development Conference in Bellevue, Washington.

Two packed buses departed last Thursday, and returned significantly lighter—in spirit, that is. Nearly half of them—33 to be exact—took to the stage to receive a medal, and all performed beautifully, after weeks and weeks of preparation. Twenty-three will advance to compete at the International Conference in Anaheim, California, April 25-30.

“We are so proud of these kids!” said DECA advisor and Marketing Teacher Suzie Downs.

In past years, students who are recognized at Washington DECA go on to be competitive at the international level.
