On Friday, February 10, local public and school librarians, Ellen Miles (Camas Public Library Teen Librarian) and Emily Crawford (Liberty Middle School Librarian), joined forces for the second annual Teen Movie Marathon Overnight at the Camas Public Library, where 30 teens in grades 7–12 voted on and watched movies all night long in the upstairs room of the library.

Between movies, teens snacked and answered movie trivia using the Goosechase app on their phones for prizes.

“The highlight of the night was a midnight tour of the dark basement, which they did after watching a scary movie!” said Crawford.

The event was generously sponsored in part by The Friends & Foundation of The Camas Library, and our local Safeway, which provided donuts for breakfast.

“We especially want to thank our chaperones Carissa Reid, Jilane Baros, and Trevor Baros, whom we could not have had the event without,” Crawford stressed.  “All who attended agreed it was a great success—we can’t wait for next year’s!”
