It’s time for the annual School Bus Safety Poster Contest. Please take this opportunity to represent our school district in promoting school bus safety. In previous years, one of our students won at the state level for designing a winning poster!
The 2017 theme is: My Driver–My Safety Hero! Attached you will find specifications for submitting student posters. Although there are specific District and state deadlines, the national poster contest deadline is October 1, 2017. See the official rules here.
Here are a few important notes for your poster entry:
- School bus driver will pick up the posters from your school’s office on the morning of May 19.
- Please be sure your entry form, provided with attached specification letter, is securely fastened to the back of the poster.
- Please be sure that your posters are submitted flat and not folded (as stated in the specification letter).
There are 4 divisions for the contest: Division #1 – Grades K-2; Division #2 – Grades 3-5; Division #3 – Grade 6-8; and Division #4 – Special Education.
Winning posters at the District-level will be advanced to the Regional competition. The Regional division winners will receive $50.00 and advance to compete at state. The state division winners will receive $50.00 and will be entered into the national competition for an opportunity to win $50.00 – $500.00 and have their poster represent 2017 National School Bus Safety Week.
We are looking forward to seeing all of our students’ wonderful and creative posters.
