The International Association for Jazz Education (IAJE) provides AON grants to bring together professional jazz artists and schools. Their support helped to bring Kristin Korb to JDZ to perform with our students and JDZ JAZZ!! |

The CEF Board has provided grants for guest artists such as Kristin Korb and Todd Johnson and to provide valuable equipment for the class. We have new microphones, clips, cables and stands, a bass xylophone and alto metallophone. |

JDZ JAZZ!! Participated in the clinics and performance at this non-competitive festival. We received numerous kudos and compliments from the middle school, high school and collegiate participants and clinicians along with 13 outstanding musician awards! |

JDZ JAZZ!! Is often requested for local performances in the community. We have shared the stage with the Camas Performing Artists Series guests and have participated in state and northwest Music Educators Association (WMEA) and American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA) conferences.. |

Individual JDZ JAZZ!! members are annually selected to participate in local, state, northwest and national honor choir opportunities. |

JDZ JAZZ!! Competed in the Junior High/Middle School division of the festival. Along with six (6) Outstanding Musician Awards, we also brought home a plaque earning third place. |

Following an audition application, JDZ JAZZ!! was selected as perhaps the first-ever elementary vocal jazz ensemble to perform at the international conference. Students were able to shine on stage and rub shoulders with jazz pros such as Kevin Mahogany, Kristin Korb, Pamela York and John Hollenbeck. |

JDZ JAZZ!! earned a Downbeat Magazine Student Music Award for Outstanding Performance in the Junior High School Vocal Jazz Category. |
