Technology Standards

Thanks to the financial support of its patrons, the Camas School District now has a high level of technology infrastructure and access for all of its students and staff.

For many years, upgrading and acquiring these capital improvements was the priority. Maintaining such standards will continue to be important, but the district is also intent on aligning and integrating technology with curriculum expectations.

The technology benchmarks document, available to the right, is intended as a resource for parents and teachers. It specifies the technology benchmarks or student skill sets that should be mastered at various grade bands. It also details basic computer operations skills students will learn in grades K-6.

Later sections of the booklet define the current hardware and operating systems standards. Also included is information on the procedures used to recommend and adopt various software that corresponds to district-established criteria.
