Information ServicesBold, new directions in technology are helping to prepare Camas students for the rapidly changing world of work. Teachers and students now have access to a kaleidoscope of new high-tech possibilities in the classroom. Each building is on-line as part of a seamless network system that integrates voice, data, and video technology. More than 2,100 computers are in classrooms and workstations throughout the district. E-mail and internet access, specialized software and on-line services, phone systems, video systems, voice mail capabilities, and satellite and extension capabilities – all supported with a new technology curriculum – are in place throughout the district. An impressive "media management" software package allows teachers throughout the district to use their own computers to access resources and do extensive lesson planning and scheduling – all from a central system. |
