Grants/Foundation

The majority of grants the Camas School District receives are federal. The following grants represent approximately 1.5 million dollars in revenue each year:

  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
  • Title I Grant
  • School Nutrition Grant-includes USDA commodities

Grants must be applied for annually.

Through its Spring Program, Phon-a-Thon, and annual Auction Dinner, the Camas Educational Foundation has raised more than $882,000 for unfunded programs each year. Teachers can apply for mini-grants to implement exciting projects in their room, and the foundation has assisted the district in funding math manipulative centers; additional foreign language staffing; computer-based reading instruction; band instruments; and specialized and supplemental art, math and science materials.
