Bus Schedules

Scheduled Late Start Days

Scheduled Late Start Dates for middle and high school students can be found at the bottom of the current school district calendar. This is a 2:20 (two hours and twenty minute) late start for middle school and high school students only. Your child’s bus will be at the stop two hours and twenty minutes later than normal. Elementary routes are not affected and run at the normal time.

Inclement Weather Late Start

A school delay may be called due to inclement weather. The busses will run 2:00 (two hours) later than normal. This affects all runs: elementary, middle, and high school routes.

Elementary Early Release

Early release occurs every Wednesday as indicated by the Camas School District Calendar.

AM kindergarten students will come home 1:10 (one hour and ten minutes) earlier every Wednesday.

PM kindergarten students will be picked up 1:10 (one hour and ten minutes) earlier every Wednesday. They will also return 2:20 (two hours and twenty minutes) earlier.

Kindergarten students must be met by an adult when disembarking from the bus to return home. If no one meets your child at the bus, they will be returned to their home school. We will not make phone calls home to let you know that the bus is waiting at the stop with your child.

If you wish for your child to be dropped alone or with another parent, a note from you must be given to the driver to be kept on file. This will release the school district from any liability for your student.

Bus Passes

If your child needs to board another bus or disembark at a different stop, a green bus pass is required. A note signed by a parent should be taken to the school attendance office in the morning. A staff member will then write a green pass for that student. Green passes for middle school and high school students will need to be picked up at the attendance office and given to the driver on the bus. Elementary bus passes are delivered to the classroom. If your child comes to the bus without a green pass, drivers are instructed to deny the request to change routing.

Bus Stops

Please have your student at the bus stop five minutes before the scheduled pick up time. Pick up and drop off times may vary by a few minutes due to traffic, weather conditions, and student loading.

Preschool and Special Education Students

Last-minute changes to your child’s Special Education route affects more than just your student. Changes to the route cause delays for other students on the bus. Any changes need to be called into the transportation office 72 hours in advance. If your student uses a daycare or respite provider in addition to their regular home stop, please provide the transportation office with a weekly schedule. You can fax us a schedule anytime at 833-5586, or call us at 833-5585.

If your student is ill, please call transportation at 833-5585 as soon as possible to report their absence to us. If your child will be gone for an extended length of time, please call and let us know.
