1. Start up your flash program (located under the start bar>all programs >applications >macromedia >macromedia flash for you Camas High School students). And create a new document/movie you can use the default size to start with.

2. Select the square tool located on the left hand side of the screen under tools and create a small square on the left hand side of your document.

 

3. Next fill the square with a color by selecting the paint bucket also located on your tools bar and pick the color desired from the right hand side of your screen on the color swatch or the color mixer, and click on the inside of the square.

 

4. Go to edit>select all then to modify>group while the square is still selected (sort cut keys are ctrl a and ctrl g)

 

5. Then go to frame twenty and right click and select insert key frame that will be the ending point for your movement, keep the square selected.

 
 

6. It's time to move your square while you still have it selected, click on the white arrow at the top of the tools bar if you don't already have it selected and move the square over to the right side of the screen.

 
 
 

7. Right click back onto frame one and select create Tweening Motion then look to the bottom of your screen and there should be a properties bar with the heading tween on the top in the middle click on the arrow and select motion. Now you have created the motion between the first frame and the last.

 

8. Press enter on the keyboard and see the animation play.
