1. Start up your flash program (located under the start bar>all programs>applications>macromedia>macromedia flash for you Camas High School students). And create a new document/movie you can use the default size to start with.

2. Select the word tool and type a word, for instance fading, and make it a managable size. You can change the color and font as well if you so choose.

 
 

3. After you have created your word click back on the white arrow select your word by clicking it. Next click on the insert button and then convert to symbol.

 
 

4. After you have converted it into a symbol then right click on the twentith frame and insert a key frame. Then go back to the first frame and click back on your newly symbol converted word.

 
 

5. There should be a box that pops up at the bottom of the screen which says color under that tab select alpha and (while still on the first frame) move the percentage bar that pops up down to zero.

 

6. Go back up to the top of the screen where the frames bars are located and right click on the first frame and crate a tween motion.

 
 

7. After you have finished creating a tween motion then press enter and watch it play.
